Allen Hanson

Allen Hanson brings more than three decades of leadership experience to Soundside Partners having dedicated his professional career to the development and commercialization of compound semiconductor technologies. Throughout his career, he has led functions that include R&D, process engineering, reliability, and product engineering in organizations ranging in size from early-stage start-ups to established, publicly traded companies including MACOM, Nitronex, and Coherent.

 

Allen received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where his thesis work focused on the development of InGaP/GaAs Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors – a technology that remains a mainstream enabler for modern mobile communications. He is a recognized innovator in the field with more than 25 US patents and 80 publications/conference presentations.
